Giving Thanks

On this day of Thanksgiving, I want you to think about what you are grateful for?

What on this day can you “Give thanks” to?

I find this task of “Giving Thanks” crucial to living an amazing life.

Not just an amazing life at Thanksgiving by year-round.

How can we start “Giving Thanks” not only during this one day, but all year?

What if you started a practice of “Giving Thanks” daily?

You could write it down.  You could text someone and share with them why you are grateful for them.  You could tell someone why they mean so much to you.

When you “Give Thanks” it not only makes you feel amazing and light, but it also has the same effect on those you are telling of your thanks and gratitude.

I challenge us all this next year to tell people more though text, a card, voicemail, phone call…whatever means possible more often when you are “Giving Thanks” for them.

Wouldn’t it be fun to see how many friends, family, co-workers, strangers you can “Give Thanks” to this year?

Why, because it lifts the human spirit.  It gives back to those who have done so much for you.  It puts the positive energy into the world.

“Giving Thanks” is a personal decision that can be made with intention and is always a choice.

The next time you are feeling sad, abundant, scared, loving, joyful…share with someone why you are grateful for them and see how it makes you feel.

I bet you will start “Giving Thanks” more often once you feel the warmth it brings to you and others.
